Steam Locomotive Restoration Projects:
- The
A1 Locomotice Trust - a brand new Pacific in the 1990's? A group in Britain is
proving that nothing is impossible!
- SOO 2719 - Once a park engine in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, this Soo Line Pacific is being restored to steam and is almost ready to run again.
- SOO 1003 - This big Mikado returned to service in 1996 after a long restoration project.
- SP&S 539 - This Spokane, Portland, & Seattle Mikado was originally built for the Northern Pacific, and has just been rescued from a Vancouver, Washington park for restoration to steam.
- CB&Q 3007 - The Illinois Railway Museum is in the process of raising funds to restore this classic CB&Q Hudson.
